Instead of visiting multiple times to the Talathi offices, citizens can now make online changes to 7/12 extracts to include heirship details and additional names.

According to a senior official, citizens have been able to make these changes in 7/12 extracts by applying online, and the system has been streamlined. Once a user has registered on the Mahabhumi website, they can select from ten services, such as applications for heirship, name addition, and corrections, by clicking on the 7/12 extract link. A deadline for clearance has been set for each service.

Each service will need scanned documents, according to officials, and an application ID will then be generated. Next, this is sent to Talathi online, where the documents are examined. The citizen will be notified online and given a mutation number if all of the questions are answered.

An official stated that one can track the status of the document by using this number. Following the generation of the mutation number, the application status can be viewed on both the Aapli Chavadi portal and the main Mahabhumi website under Bhulekh.

According to officials, a citizen will be notified of any changes made to their mutation entry after registering on the portal, and the changes will appear in the 7/12 extracts within 40 days.

According to a person who has applied online for modifications to mutation extracts, anyone who owns land in any part of the state can use this facility to apply for changes while relaxing at home. It is simple to use, will reduce the number of people visiting Talathi offices, eliminate middlemen, and increase transparency. Additionally, citizens are able to monitor and receive updates regarding the applications’ status.
