Pune Railway collects fine of Rs 11.38 lakh from 1317 ticketless passengers

Pune Railway Division earned Rs.1.75 crore from ticketless passengers in February 2024

Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirve organized a special ticket checking campaign on Friday, October 20. 

The campaign took place in various mail/express passenger trains at Pune – Daund section and at Pune station.

As per the information provided, a total of 64 ticket checking staff participated in the campaign, which resulted in the identification of 1317 ticketless travelers. 

The staff also collected a fine of Rs 11.38 lakh from those who were found to be traveling without tickets.

This initiative, led by Ramdas Bhise, aims to ensure that genuine passengers are not inconvenienced during their journey. Moving forward, similar ticket checking activities will be carried out regularly to uphold the integrity of the travel system. Passengers are kindly advised to travel with the appropriate ticket.
