Pune Rains: Know All About Road Closures In Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Jurisdiction Due To Heavy Downpour
Due to heavy rainfall in Pune district, several key routes have been closed, causing inconvenience to commuters. The closures include:
1. Kelgaon Bypass Bridge: The bridge over Kelgaon bypass, Chakan bridge, and Nagar Parishad bridge are closed due to water overflow, affecting traffic from both directions.
2. Markal Bridge: Markal bridge on the route to Shikrapur is also closed to traffic.
3. Talegaon Gaon Road: The road from Talegaon Gaon to Somatane Gaon is closed due to overflooding at Talegaon Tale OverFlow.
4. Hinjewadi Underpass: The Hinjewadi underpass is closed to all traffic due to waterlogging.
5. Falkewasti: The road from Falekewasti to Moin Gaon is closed as well, affecting travel due to flooding.
6. Chakreshwar Road to Bhujbal Ali: This road is also closed to traffic.
7. Moin Gaon: Due to water overflowing from the Indrayani River bridge, the road from Moin Gaon to Diamond Chowk is closed starting from late afternoon.
8. Tathawade: Tathawade Underpass Is Closed For Cars and motorcycles, but heavy vehicles are allowed
9. Additionally, vehicles have been prohibited from entering these areas until further notice. Hospitals and key intersections such as Birla Hospital to River View Chowk have also been affected by the closures.
10. Dehuroad: Road from Foundry company to Talegaon is closed (Vehicles can go via Somatne Limb phata)
11. Sameer Lawns Underpass has 5 to 7 feet water logging – Closed for all types of vehicles
12. Chinchwad: Road closed to Hedgewar Bridge from Chinchwad and Morya Gosavi to Smashanbhumi to close
13. Pimpri: Pune Mumbai Grade Separator Closed for all types of vehicles due to water logging near Kharalwadi
14. Bhosari MIDC: Panjarpol Cloud Nine Hotel Has reported Water logging. Except heavy vehicles no other vehicles are allowed
