In a bid to address the pressing issues of society and traffic congestion in Wanawadi, MLA Ravindra Dhangekar, representing the Pune Lok Sabha Constituency, has pledged to formulate a comprehensive ‘Action Plan’ post-election, with active participation from local residents.


The padayatra organized by Mahavikas Aghadi and India Aghadi candidate MLA Ravindra Dhangekar garnered significant citizen engagement, starting with the darshan of Shri Bhairoba at Bhairoba Nala and lasting five hours. Notable figures like former Minister of State Dr. Vishwajit Kadam and former minister Sunil Kedar joined the walk, accompanied by drums, flags of various parties, placards, and slogans, creating a vibrant election atmosphere.
Highlighting the challenges faced by the area, MLA Ravindra Dhangekar emphasized the issues of limited road space and increasing vehicular traffic. He assured the citizens of his commitment to tackle these challenges head-on by devising a specialized ‘Action Plan’ post-election, integrating inputs from the local populace.


The padayatra witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens, political representatives, and activists across party lines, including Congress, NCP Sharad Chandra Pawar Party, Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Party, and Aam Aadmi Party.


Navigating through narrow lanes on a scooter, MLA Ravindra Dhangekar interacted with citizens from various localities, visiting temples and seeking blessings in churches along the way. Former Minister Sunil Kedar, former Minister of State Dr. Vishwajit Kadam, Former Minister of State for Home Affairs Ramesh Bagwe, and other dignitaries extended their support and best wishes during the padayatra.


The route of the padayatra encompassed key areas such as Fatima Convent, Mahatma Phule Cultural Bhavan, Prashant Jagtap’s Public Relations Office, Constituent Chowk, Kedari Nagar, Sahil Kedari’s Public Relations Office, and culminated at Netaji Nagar.


Prominent officials and activists from various political affiliations participated in the walk, demonstrating a collective effort towards addressing the societal and traffic challenges in Wanawadi.
