Pune: Residents Celebrate As PMC Water Finally Reaches Ganga Florentina In Mohamadwadi After 8-Year Wait
Pune, May 27, 2026: Residents of Ganga Florentina in Mohammadwadi finally received regular PMC water supply on Wednesday after struggling for more than a decade without a proper connection, bringing major relief to hundreds of families in the society.
Vijay Dalvi, a resident of Ganga Florentina society, he shared the residents had to wait for 8 years to see PMC water Supply to the society. It is because of the social activists, journalists who made all the attempts to bring water to the area. We thank PMC for working so efficiently in the last few months. It will take a month’s time to stabilise the water supply as PMC plans to conduct washouts of the pipeline in the coming few days regularly.
For years, residents had been dependent on private water tankers and temporary arrangements, causing daily inconvenience and uncertainty.
Citizens said the lack of regular water supply had severely affected routine life and added financial burden on families.
The arrival of PMC water was welcomed with celebrations inside the society, with many residents calling it an emotional and long-awaited moment after years of continuous follow-ups and efforts.
Residents also appealed to civic authorities to ensure uninterrupted and permanent water supply in Mohammadwadi and nearby areas, where several housing societies continue to face water-related issues.
