Pune : Residents irked over delayed action on road work near Kad Nagar in Undri

The road work between Marvel Sangria and Kad Nagar has been delayed for over a few weeks now. 

Though the Pune Municipal Corporation carried out resurfacing of road from Palace Orchards to Mohamadwadi, this patch of the road remained incomplete due to road work.Pune Pulse spoke to Ajit D, project manager, Dhaneshwar Construction, the contractor who is undertaking the work said that the work will start tonight on the stretch between Marvel Sangria and Kad Nagar. There was a lack of material to lay the road due to which the work had halted. But within two to three days the work will be over and the road will be resurfaced at one level. 

A Pune Municipal Corporation official informed that the contractor has been informed and instructed to expedite the road work. 

A resident of the area complained that since the road work is incomplete and has become one of the main roads since closure of NIBM road the civic authorities should take up the work on priority and complete the work. Because of the incomplete work it is also causing traffic and may lead to accidents because of the electricity pole which is not removed and the unsurfaced road. There are heavy trucks going through the 24 *n 7, water tankers, trucks supplying material, construction material trucks, etc.
