Pune: Residents Voice Civic Issues At Monthly Mohalla Committee Meeting In Aundh-Baner Area
The monthly Mohalla Committee meeting was held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Aundh-Baner Regional Office, in the Prabhag Committee Hall. The Assistant Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Aundh-Baner Regional Office, organized the meeting to address citizens’ issues.
During the meeting, residents from Aundh, Baner, Balewadi, Bopodi, Pashan, Someshwarwadi, and Mahalunge presented the following concerns to the Assistant Commissioner and other officials:
– Ganesh Kalapure requested the installation of CCTV cameras in all schools to ensure student safety.
– Other issues raised included potholes on the roads, garbage problems, encroachments, river cleanliness, public toilets, closed swimming pools, mosquito control measures for preventing dengue and chikungunya, traffic issues, cleanliness preparations for the Ganesh festival, immersion ghat cleanliness, encroachment at Pashan Sutarwadi cemetery, unauthorized events at Bhimsen Joshi Hall, overhead electrical wiring on streets, and demands for garbage collection vehicles to address the waste problem in Aundh.
Prominent attendees at the meeting included Ganesh Kalapure, Rohini Nagvankar, Rupesh Junawane, Preeti Kale, Nitin Khond, Nilesh Junawane, Siddheshwar Gaikwad, various community workers from the Yardi organization, and many members of residential societies.
