Pune, April 10, 2026: Member of Parliament Supriya Sule has assured residents of Undri that a solution to the ongoing issues related to the RMC (Ready-Mix Concrete) plant in the area will be worked out before May 1. The assurance came during her inspection visit to the locality following rising complaints from citizens.

Responding to increasing grievances, Sule conducted a ground visit on Thursday afternoon, where residents highlighted multiple civic issues affecting their daily lives. Locals expressed concern over the deteriorating condition of roads caused by continuous movement of water tankers, cement mixers, and heavy dumpers.

Residents also pointed out that the unchecked movement of heavy vehicles has led to a rise in accidents in the area. They alleged that traffic rules are being routinely violated, with hazardous transportation continuing throughout the day and night without proper regulation.

Another major concern raised was air pollution caused by the RMC plant, with cement particles reportedly increasing in the air to dangerous levels, posing serious health risks. Citizens urged that such plants be shut down to safeguard public health.

During the visit, Sule contacted the municipal commissioner over the phone, apprised them of the ground situation, and directed officials to find a concrete solution before May 1. She also instructed civic authorities to immediately undertake repair work on a 200-meter stretch of road in the area.

Local corporators, municipal officials, and residents were present during the inspection.
