In a move to facilitate the smooth journey of devotees and pilgrims traveling to and from Pandharpur for the Ashadhi Vari, the road tax has been waived for both light and heavy vehicles from June 13 to July 3. To ensure the implementation of this exemption, a dedicated cell has been set up at the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) to issue stickers and passes.

To obtain a pass for the road tax exemption, individuals participating in the Pandharpur Yatra must submit the required documents, including the vehicle registration certificate, insurance certificate, Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate, tax receipts, driving license, and fitness certificate to the case section of the Pune RTO between 9 am and 10 pm. The Pune RTO has issued an appeal, assuring a streamlined process for acquiring the necessary stickers and passes.

This initiative aims to facilitate the travel of devotees and pilgrims during the important Pandharpur Yatra period, allowing them to undertake their spiritual journey without the burden of road tax expenses.

Please note that the dates mentioned for the road tax exemption are from June 13 to July 3, 2023.
