Pune: Roads To Mumbai And Satara Closed At Wadgaon Bridge Amid Protest
Pune, May 2, 2026: The Pune Traffic Police have issued an advisory after both carriageways near Wadgaon Bridge were completely shut due to an ongoing road blockade protest.
According to officials, the protest is taking place in front of Hotel Suvarna at Wadgaon Bridge, leading to the closure of traffic in both directions Mumbai to Satara and Satara to Mumbai.
Authorities have urged motorists to avoid travelling towards Wadgaon Bridge and instead wait at safe locations or use alternative routes to prevent inconvenience.
Officials also cautioned that it may take some time for the protest to be cleared and traffic movement to return to normal.
The advisory was issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pune City, in view of public safety and traffic management.
