Pune: In order to tackle the rising number of accidents, the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) has surveyed the Pune-Solapur road.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Sanjeev Bhor, Deputy Commissioner, RTO Pune said, “Chairman of Road Safety Committee and District Collector had instructed Pune RTO to survey Pune-Solapur road. Thus officials from RTO along with traffic police and officials from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) have surveyed the entire Pune-Solapur road and have identified several accident prone spots, causes for the accidents and other mishaps. Accordingly, this survey was conducted & the concerned departments have been informed to take appropriate measures to reduce accidents. From Monday ( August 21), all the concerned departments will begin taking action.”

As per information from Bhor, the inspection has shown that there is a need for immediate measures in accident prone areas from Hadapsar to Loni Kalbhor and Uruli Kanchan. A similar survey was done for the Pune-Nagar road some days ago. The survey report will soon be sent to the concerned departments for action.
