Pune Rural CNG Price Hiked By ₹2 Per Kg, Torrent Gas Revises Rates Again
Pune, May 18, 2026: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices in Pune’s rural areas have been increased by ₹2 per kg, with gas distributor Torrent Gas announcing revised rates effective from midnight between Sunday and Monday.
According to the updated pricing issued by the company, CNG will now be sold at ₹96.50 per kg, compared to the earlier rate of ₹94.50 per kg. The revised rates came into effect from 12 am on May 18.
Torrent Gas, which supplies CNG exclusively in Pune rural regions, had also raised prices by ₹2 per kg in April this year. At that time, the rates were revised from ₹92.50 per kg to ₹94.50 per kg with effect from April 3.

The repeated increase in CNG prices is expected to affect daily commuters, transport operators and commercial vehicle owners across Pune district, many of whom depend on CNG as a comparatively economical alternative to petrol and diesel.
Industry experts said changes in domestic gas allocation and rising sourcing costs continue to impact retail CNG pricing across several parts of the country.
