Pune Rural Police File Complaint Against Three For Illegal Possession and Firing From Revolver

A complaint has been filed against three individuals, Ramesh Baburao Kekan, Parth Remash Kekan, and Atharva Ramesh Kekan, for allegedly violating the Arms Act and Indian Penal Code. The complaint, filed by Assistant Police Inspector Vikram Narayan Salunkhe, accuses the trio of illegally possessing and firing a licensed revolver in a populated area.

According to the complaint, Ramesh Kekan, a police official handed over the licensed revolver to his son Parth Kekan, who does not have a license to possess or handle firearms. Parth Kekan then fired the revolver in the air, endangering the lives of others, and uploaded a video of the incident on social media.

The complaint alleges that Ramesh Kekan and his other son Atharva Kekan inspired and instigated the act. The incident is said to have occurred about three years ago, but the exact date and time are unknown.

The Pune Rural Police have registered a case under Sections 336, 109, and 114 of the Indian Penal Code, as well as Sections 3(25) and 30 of the Arms Act. Further investigation is being conducted by Investigating Officer Posai Telkikar.
