Pune : Seven cops of Sahakarnagar police station suspended for negligence in vehicle vandalism cases

Pune: Pune Police Commissioner Reetesh Kumaar suspended seven police personnel, including five officers and two constables from Sahakarnagar police station on Thursday night for failure to maintain law and order. Recently two instances of vandalism were reported in the area by gangs of local criminals in which different vehicles were vandalized by the miscreants.Â
As per information, the police commissioner suspended five officers and two constables which includes a senior police inspector, one police inspector, one assistant inspector, two sub-inspectors and two constables.
Two incidents of vandalism, one in the Annabhau Sathe Vasahat area and a second in Taljai Hill a week earlier were reported. The failure to do the appointed duties prompted numerous incidents of law and order in Sahakarnagar. An inquiry against all the officers is going to be conducted soon.
