Pune Shocked After Firing At Furniture Mall In Ravet; Bishnoi Gang Link Claimed On Social Media
Pune, May 16, 2026: Panic spread across Pimpri-Chinchwad after unidentified gunmen allegedly opened fire at a well-known furniture mall, with a suspected member of the Bishnoi gang later claiming responsibility for the attack through a social media post.
According to police sources, two unidentified assailants arrived on a motorcycle and fired around five to six rounds from pistols at the furniture showroom identified as AJ Furniture Mall in Ravet. The incident created tension in the area, although no injuries or casualties were reported.
The firing reportedly damaged the front glass façade of the showroom, and the entire incident was captured on nearby CCTV cameras.
Following the attack, alleged Bishnoi gang associate Shubham Lonkar shared a threatening message on social media claiming responsibility for the firing. In the post, he allegedly accused showroom owner Ashok Nain of involvement in MD drug trafficking and issued a direct warning, stating that the attack was “just a trailer” and threatening more serious consequences if demands were ignored.
Soon after the incident, teams from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Police officials are examining CCTV footage and tracking the social media posts linked to the case.
Special police teams have been formed to trace the shooters and investigate possible links to organised crime networks. Authorities said the matter is being treated with utmost seriousness due to the nature of the threats and the alleged gang connection.
