Pune, July 6, 2025 – In a landmark move for sustainable living, Siddhivinayak Wind Chime Society, located in the heart of Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, inaugurated its advanced 55 kW solar power plant today at 12 PM. This ambitious green project marks a major milestone in the society’s commitment to renewable energy and environmental stewardship.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Nana Kate, former Corporator and Senior regional leader, whose encouraging words highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing climate change. “It is heartening to see housing societies like Siddhivinayak Wind Chime leading by example. Green energy is not just a choice but a necessity. Such community efforts are pivotal in achieving sustainable development at the grassroots level,” he said.
The newly installed solar project has a total capacity of 55 kilowatts and is projected to generate approximately 6,600 to 7,000 units of clean electricity every month, amounting to nearly 80,000 units annually. This is expected to significantly reduce the society’s reliance on conventional power sources, lower its carbon footprint, and lead to substantial monthly savings on electricity bills.
