Pune Social Group Donates School Bags and Meals to Visually Impaired Children

Pune, June 24, 2025: In a heartwarming act of service, the Charity Wing of Pune Social Group (PSG), in collaboration with the Neeta Care Foundation, conducted a successful donation drive at the Poona School and Home for the Blind at Koregaon Park and Kothrud. The team provided school bags and freshly prepared meals to visually impaired children, spreading smiles and support ahead of the academic year.

At the Koregaon Park Boys School, PSG Charity Wing Chairperson Ria Chauhan and Founder Swaroop Roy led the efforts, joined by administrators Sameer Gadgil and Rashmi Nair.

Meanwhile, at the Kothrud Girls School, Neeta Care Foundation Directors Pallavi Gadgil and Sameer Gadgil joined hands with Chauhan and Roy to distribute school bags. They were supported by admins Rashmi NairPrachi Bidwe, and Neha Pandya Aher.

Adding a special touch to the event, PSG member Soumya Mani sponsored and donated nutritious meals for all the children.

Looking ahead, Ria Chauhan shared that this effort forms part of PSG’s monthly charity initiative, with upcoming projects including tree plantation drives and riverbed cleaning campaigns aimed at promoting sustainability and community welfare.

The initiative reflects the growing commitment of local social groups toward inclusive and meaningful community development in Pune.
