Pune Solapur Accident: High-Speed Dumper Crashes into Parked Car in Pune: One Dead, Two Injured
A tragic accident occurred in Pune, Maharashtra, where a speeding dumper truck rammed into a car parked by the roadside, killing one person and injuring two others. The incident took place in front of a petrol pump on the Pune-Solapur highway in Daund Tehsil. The shocking crash was captured on the petrol pump’s CCTV cameras.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Rohit Prakash Pokale, who was fatally injured when the dumper’s wheel ran over his waist. The two injured individuals, Suraj Madhukar Petade and Vijay Srinivas Dheer Sagar, are reported to be in serious condition and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital. Reports suggest that the dumper driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
The accident occurred around 12 PM on August 21. CCTV footage shows a car parked by the roadside near the petrol pump, likely being repaired, as its bonnet is open. Four people are seen standing outside the car. Suddenly, a dumper truck approaches from behind, and one person signals the truck to stop. However, the truck speeds towards them, causing the individuals to scatter. One person manages to escape to safety.

The dumper not only crashes into the car but drags it forward along with three people. The collision resulted in the death of one individual and left two others injured. At the time of the accident, the highway was busy with vehicles, and there were several people at the petrol pump. The crash caused panic, and bystanders rushed towards the accident scene.
