Pune: Sonali Bendre Dragged To Court Over Land Dispute In Maval
Pune, April 2, 2026: Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre and her husband Goldie Behl are facing a legal dispute over a land transaction in Uksan village, Maval taluka. Local farmer Chandrakant Shinde claims that the land, which has been in his family since 1957, was illegally purchased by the couple, ignoring his hereditary rights.
According to Shinde, the 30-guntha property is ancestral land, and he alleges that forged documents were used to override his family’s claim. He also accused the couple of attempting unauthorized construction and intimidating his family.
Earlier, the matter had reached the police, but due to its civil nature, Shinde has now filed a petition in the Vadgaon Maval Civil Court seeking a stay on the property. The next hearing is scheduled for April 20, 2026.
Sonali Bendre’s lawyer, Raju Shinde, has denied all allegations, claiming that the complaint is an attempt by the farmer to gain publicity and financial benefit by maligning the actress and her husband.
The high-profile case has generated significant discussion in the Maval region, drawing attention to legal disputes involving prominent figures in the area.
