Pune, April 2, 2026: The Maharashtra government has extended the e-KYC deadline for the Ladki Bahin Yojana, providing relief to thousands of women across the state facing technical or procedural hurdles. Women who have not yet completed their e-KYC can now finish the process by April 30, 2026, officials announced.

The extension was declared by Women and Child Welfare Minister Aditi Tatkare, following directives from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Sunetra Pawar. The government has urged all eligible women to take advantage of this final opportunity to secure their benefits under the scheme.

The extension also allows beneficiaries who made errors while filling out their application forms to correct them without losing eligibility, Tatkare added.

How to Complete E-KYC:
Beneficiaries can complete the e-KYC process through the official portal ladkibahin.maharashtra.gov.in. After logging in, users must enter their Aadhaar number and captcha code, request an OTP for verification, and enter OTPs for themselves and their spouse or father if required. The process also involves selecting the correct caste category and verifying all details before submitting the application. A confirmation message on the screen indicates successful completion.

Required Documents:
To complete e-KYC, women need their Aadhaar card, photograph, ration card, and income details. Proof of residence can be provided through a domicile certificate, old ration card, voter ID, birth certificate, or school leaving certificate. If the woman was born outside the state, her husband’s 15-year residence proof is required. Family income must be below ₹2.5 lakh annually unless the beneficiary has a yellow or saffron ration card. Bank account details and an undertaking are also mandatory.

Officials emphasized that women who complete the e-KYC by the extended deadline will ensure uninterrupted access to the benefits of the Ladki Bahin Yojana.
