Pune : Speeding Lamborghini car kills dog near Goodluck Chowk; FIR registered

Pune: In a horrifying incident, a Lamborghini vehicle speeding recklessly hit a dog causing to its death. As per information, the incident happened at around 2 pm on August 7 Monday on Fergusson College Road, near Goodluck Chowk.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Vipin Hasabnis, Police Inspector, Deccan Police Station said, “This unfortunate incident happened at Goodluck Chowk. A speeding Lamborghini car, while taking the free left turn from the traffic signal and going towards Law College Road, didn’t see the animal. At that very time, a stray dog was trying to pass from there. The car hit the dog and without stopping and checking, the vehicle sped away.”
Following the occurrence, the complainant raced to the Deccan police station to report the matter. The police at first didn’t entertain the complaint. Later a case was registered.
The Deccan police have charged the accused under Sections 279 (rash driving), 429 (wickedness by killing or injuring creatures) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) alongside Sections 11(1) and 11(A)(L) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
Further investigation is in progress.
