Pune : Stage Collapse in Loni Kalbhor Claims One Life and Injures Three
Pune witnessed a tragic incident as a stage collapse resulted in the death of one person and left three others injured. The Pune city police reported that the incident occurred at Wadki village in the Loni Kalbhor area.
The unfortunate event took place during a bullock cart race program organized at Wadki village on Sunday at approximately 4:45 pm. The victim has been identified as Vikas Kole, who lost his life in the incident. The injured individuals, namely Shubham Lokhande, Mayoor Lokhande, and Vikas Dhamale, were promptly admitted to Sahyadri Hospital for medical treatment, as confirmed by the police.
The police explained that heavy rainfall during the race led people to seek shelter under the stage to protect themselves from the rainwater. Tragically, while four individuals sought refuge beneath the stage, it suddenly collapsed, claiming one life and causing injuries to the others.
Emergency services swiftly responded to the incident, rushing all the injured individuals to the hospital, where they are currently receiving medical care. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the stage collapse, and the inquiry is underway.
