Pune: Bharatiya Janata Party Pune City president Jagdish Mulik met Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vikram Kumar and demanded that the construction of flyovers approved at Kharadi and Vishrantwadi in Vadgaonsheri constituency should be started as soon as possible by allocating funds.

Sharing details, Jagdish Mulik said, “A road safety audit of 200 kilometers was conducted in 2018 under the central government’s road safety campaign. It was revealed that the Pune-Nagar Road is the most dangerous for traffic. The then chairman of the standing committee Yogesh Mulik prepared the city road integrated transport plan in which planning for metro lines, empowerment of BRT lines, adequate bus arrangements and flyovers or grade separators works as required at Golf Chowk, Kharadi, Kalyan Nagar, Yerwada and Vishrantwadi were suggested in the budget.

Of the suggested flyovers, one at Golf Chowk was completed recently. The state government will provide funds for the flyover at Kharadi. In that regard, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently made a statement. The commissioner promised to start the work soon through the state government and the municipal corporation.”
