Pune state excise department seizes massive illegal foreign liquor in Ravet - Pune Pulse

Pune: The State Excise Department of Pune has seized huge amounts of illegal foreign liquor.
As per further information shared by Yuvraj Shinde, Deputy Superintendent, State Excise Department, Pune, on November 1 2023 at 4:10 a.m. within Ravet Limits, on Bangalore Mumbai Highway the State Excise Department laid a trap and inspected the suspect vehicle, a 14 wheeler MH 15 FV 7940 and found 80 pans filled with cattle feed weighing approximately 50 kg.
Below that, a total of 431 boxes (5172 bottles) of Indian-made exotic liquors (Royal Blue Whisky, Ice Magic Orange Vodka and Royal Blunk Malt Whiskey) of 750mL each with 12 cases each for sale in the state of Goa, 785 boxes (37680 bottles) of Royal Blue Whiskey and Apple Vodka each of 48 bottles of 180mL capacity each, 24 bottles of Kingfisher beer of 500 ml each box of 40 boxes (960 bottles) of Rs 74,56,200 worth of liquor along with other items worth Rs 1,19,92,200 have been seized in the said crime.
A case has been registered against the two accused under sections 65 (a), (e), 83, and 108 of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act 1949 and they have been arrested.
