Pune : Students felicitated for making gifts for military personnel

Pune: A felicitation programme was organized for 23 selected schools by Team Sketchpaintxprs for India and associates who made and sent greetings, rakhis and Diwali gifts for army personnel deployed in the border areas. 

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Bijay Kumar, Managing Director of Team Sketchpaintxprs for India & a resident of Roseland Residency, Pimple Saudagar said, “Every year, we felicitate students of various schools who make Diwali gifts, Rakhis, greetings and much more for our brave military personnel who constantly fight at our border areas. There is absolutely no restriction on religion as various Muslim students from schools in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh have made and sent Rakhis etc for our military forces. Even in Covid time, about 5 to 6 lakh masks were distributed by school students to military personnel. Hence, we are very proud of these activities & our kids.”

As per information, around 17 to 18 students, living in Roseland Residency, Pimple Saudagar, were felicitated. Out of 46, students from 23 best schools were selected to join the felicitation function on August 19. Also, schools were represented by their principals and activity teachers and selected students.

Major General Sanjeev Dogra, Dy Commandant, NDA, Khadakwasla & Manisha Dogra were the chief guests at the program.

Major General Dogra, in his speech, highlighted the life and career of the Armed Forces and gave many examples of their bravery. After his communication with schools, the felicitation program started. He, along with Mrs Dogra, gave away trophies and certificates of extraordinary

excellence to students, principals and activity teachers.
