Pune, November 1, 2025: A 60-year-old man’s life was saved in the nick of time after prompt action by the Mohammadwadi police, who responded to a Dial 112 emergency call regarding a domestic dispute in Krishna Nagar, Galli No. 4.

Senior Police Inspector Mansing Patil, Kalepadal Police Station informed, “Marshal PC Budhware and PC Thorat rushed to the scene following call number CFS 31781297. The caller reported an argument between a husband and wife. Upon reaching the location, the officers found that Balaji Gangaram Mehatre (60) had locked himself inside his home and was attempting to hang himself.”

Acting swiftly, the police broke open the door and brought the man down. He was found unconscious, after which the officers administered CPR and immediately shifted him to Ruby Hall Hospital, Wanowrie, with the help of his relatives.

Later, when contacted, his family members informed the police that Mehatre’s condition is now stable, informed police. 

This prompt action has saved life while the beat marshals received appreciation.
