Pune: Tathawade Punawale Residents Appeal To Repair Deteriorating Conditions Of NH 4 Service Roads
Residents of Tathawade and Punawale have raised concerns over the deteriorating condition of service roads adjacent to NH-4. These roads have become heavily pothole-ridden, leading to frequent accidents and hardships for local residents.
The specific roads in question are:
1. The service road from Sai Petrol Pump, Tathawade, to Shani Temple and Bhumkar Chowk, Wakad.
2. The service road from JSPM College, Tathawade, to Decathlon, Wakad.
Due to the severe road damage, local residents are urging immediate repair work to be carried out.
Me Punawalekar member ,Navnath Dhavale said, ‘four feet deep holes are dug in the ground and it’s getting difficult for residents day by day. This continues for 4-5 kilometres. We have appealed to the Division of Highway to take immediate action on the same.” He further added that they have been complaining for 10 years but no permanent action has been taken. Now they have started working but it’s just a temporary solution to their issue.
They request a thorough inspection and prompt resurfacing to address the hazardous conditions. The situation remains critical as daily accidents and disruptions continue to affect the community.
