Pune: Temporary Traffic Changes Announced In Yerwada For Shastrinagar Junction Flyover Work

The Pune Municipal Corporation’s project department is set to begin work on a grade separator and flyover at Shastrinagar Junction, Yerwada. Between December 12, 2024, and December 16, 2024, soil investigation borehole drilling will take place at six locations along the route from Shastrinagar Junction to Golf Club Junction.
To ensure public safety and avoid disruptions during this work, temporary traffic diversions have been implemented as per the powers vested under the Motor Vehicles Act (Sections 115, 116(1)(a)(b), 116(4), and 117). Amol Zhende, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pune City, has authorized the following traffic changes:
- 1. Heavy Vehicles Prohibited: All heavy vehicles traveling from Shastrinagar Junction to Golf Club Junction will be rerouted via Shastrinagar Junction – Gunjan Junction – Parnakuti Junction – Mahatma Gandhi Garden Junction – Tarkeshwar Junction – Sadalbaba Junction to reach their destination.
- 2. Four-Wheelers Diversion: Four-wheelers will take a right turn from Gunjan Junction and proceed to Golf Club Junction.
- 3. No Parking Zone: A no-parking and no-halt zone will be enforced on the left loop road 200 meters from Shastrinagar Junction toward Golf Club Junction.
Public Advisory: Residents are requested to follow the designated routes and cooperate with traffic personnel and volunteers during this period.
