The government is looking for places and manpower too to set up new police stations, which are planned to be established before August 15 this year.

The Pune Police’s administration department had submitted a proposal to the department of home Ministry, asking them to establish seven new police stations within Pune city limits.

In a programme held in Pune city last year, Pune district guardian minister Chandrakant Patil had announced that seven new police stations in areas like Wagholi, Kale Padal, Ambegaon, Baner, Kharadi, Phursungi, Nanded City and 800 police personnel will be added to the city’s police department.

With these new police stations it will be easy for the police department to maintain law and order situations in the areas and also curb any crime. Police stations in the city are looking at larger areas under them. These new police stations will help them to have control on smaller areas.
