Pune : Traffic changes announced on Ganeshkhind road from March 22

Traffic changes will take place at Acharya Anandrishiji Chowk in front of Savitribai Phule Pune University from Friday (22^nd March) to solve traffic issues. Rohidas Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, gave this information.

The flyover and metro are under construction on Ganeshkhind road. Due to the narrowness of the road, motorists are facing traffic jams on this road every day. The changes made by the transport department will remain as follows:

• From Acharya Anandrishiji Chowk towards Senapati Bapat Road, right-hand entry will be closed from Senapati Bapat Road Junction.

Alternative Route – Motorists should take a U-turn in front of Cosmos Bank and take a left turn at Senapati Bapat Road junction.

• Vehicles coming from Shivajinagar on Ganeshkhind Road and going towards Range Hills, right turn at Range Hills corner will be closed.

Alternative Route – Motorists should take a U-turn in front of Cosmos Bank and take a left turn at Range Hills corner towards Range Hills.

• All vehicles going to Aundh, Sangvi and Dange Chowk from the square in front of Pune University will be closed from Aundh Road.

Alternate Route – From the square in front of the University take Baner Road and take a U-turn at the back of Raj Bhavan and take a left turn from the square in front of the University to Aundh Road.

• Entry for all vehicles going to Baner from Acharya Anandrishi Chowk will be closed from Baner Road.

Alternative Route – From the square in front of Pune University take a left turn on Pashan Road and take a right turn towards Baner from Abhimanashree Junction. There is no change in the traffic coming from Baner and Aundh roads towards Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk.

Access to heavy vehicles on these route are closed:

• Chafekar Chowk on Ganeshkhind Road to Acharya Anandrishiji (Pune University) Chowk.
• Bremen Chowk to Pune University Chowk on Aundh Road
• Abhimanashree Chowk to Pune University Chowk
• JW Marriott Hotel Chowk to Pune University Chowk.
