Pune : Tragedy Strikes as Man Drowns in Yerwada’s Divisional Sports Complex Swimming Pool

In a deeply distressing incident, a 37-year-old man named Girish Sandeep Sutar tragically drowned in a swimming pool at the divisional sports complex near Nagpur Chawl in Yerwada, Pune. The shocking incident took place on a Sunday afternoon around 3:30 PM.

Accompanied by his wife and other family members, Girish Sutar, a resident of Munjaba Vasti in Dhanori, had visited the sports complex for a recreational swimming session. Regrettably, while immersed in the water, Girish’s family noticed his sudden submersion. Alarmed by the sight, they immediately raised an alarm and attempted to administer artificial respiration in a desperate bid to revive him. Urgently, an ambulance was summoned, and Girish was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the doctors pronounced him dead upon his arrival. Subsequently, his body has been transferred to Sassoon Hospital for further procedures.

The fact that Sutar was known as a swimmer makes this incident all the more unexpected and distressing for his loved ones. The exact cause of his untimely death will be determined following a thorough post-mortem examination.
