Pune, October 27, 2025: The Lonikand Police have arrested a truck driver for allegedly stealing a consignment of 120 refrigerators valued at ₹35 lakh from Wagholi. The consignment, which was meant for delivery to a client in Rajkot, Gujarat, never reached its destination after the driver absconded with the goods and vehicle.

The accused has been identified as Nisar Ahmed Isaq Khan, 35, a resident of Nandurbar. Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered at Lonikand Police Station under the Pune City Police Commissionerate.

According to investigators, on September 25, the accused, employed by a transport company based in Ranjangaon MIDC, was assigned to deliver the refrigerators from a warehouse in Wagholi to Rajkot. However, after loading the goods, Khan disappeared, and repeated attempts by the company to contact him failed.
