Pimpri-Chinchwad: A 32-year-old man lost his life in a road accident at Dehu Road on Sunday morning after a dumper rammed into his two-wheeler. The victim, identified as Deepal Bahadur Sai, a resident of Vikas Nagar and employed as a private security guard, died on the spot.

According to police, the dumper driver, identified as Pradeep Mayur Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly on his phone while driving. He has been detained and a case is being registered against him.

The accident occurred around 9:30 AM near Said Dwarka Housing Society in Kiwale, within the Dehu Road Police Station limits. At that time, heavy vehicles are banned from plying inside the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC) area. The restriction is enforced daily from 8 AM to 12 PM and 4 PM to 10 PM to prevent such incidents.
