Pune: Urban Nest Society In Undri Achieves Major Milestone With MNGL Pipeline Connection
Pune | May 7, 2025 — In a significant step towards sustainable urban living, Urban Nest Co-operative Housing Society in Undri has officially received the Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) pipeline connection. The development marks a major infrastructural upgrade for the society and reflects the power of consistent community effort.
The project, which required approvals from both the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) due to the pipeline’s location across a main road, was several months in the making. Navigating the maze of permissions and administrative clearances posed considerable challenges, but the society’s leadership and local support made the long-awaited connection a reality.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Sachin Ghule, Panchayat Samiti Haveli, who played a crucial role in pushing the project forward. His intervention, guidance, and vocal support ensured that the project did not lose momentum. The society expressed deep gratitude for his presence and contributions.
The Management Committee of Urban Nest, led by Kersi Mistry (Chairman), Sandeep Badekar (Secretary), and Imran Tamboli (Treasurer), along with dedicated committee members, was instrumental in driving this development from concept to completion. Their tireless behind-the-scenes work and coordination with authorities ensured the project’s success.
Residents were thanked for their patience and cooperation throughout the process. The society reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable growth, having already implemented a series of eco-conscious upgrades, including:
- Installation of an EV charging station with green metering
- Green metering for STP, WTP, and OWC systems
- A 70 kW solar power plant
- Borewell and water pipeline connections
- Other infrastructure enhancement projects
This MNGL connection is the latest in a line of progressive initiatives that reflect Urban Nest’s vision for a greener, smarter, and more connected community.
