For the past four days, the residents of the area are battling against poor water supply. The leakages caused in the Bhama Askhed water pipeline has added to the woes of the residents.
Thomas Matthew, a resident, Konark Campus, Viman Nagar Pune said “The water supply has been cut entirely in Konark Campus and the entire area of Viman Nagar since the last 4 days. We are facing a lot of problems due to it. We have requested the PMC to resolve it. However, we haven’t received any response so far..”
The residents held rasta roko and demanded that PMC should fix the water supply problems and provide adequate water supply. If PMC is not able to provide alternate arrangement must be made by PMC itself.

The private water tankers are also unable to provide water because the borewells have dried up. Senior citizens are affected the most. PMC should take concrete steps soon to fix the leakages in the pipes.”
