Pune, September 5, 2025: To ensure faster and better electricity services for the rapidly growing Wagholi area, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has restructured its Wagholi branch into four separate branches.

The inauguration of the new branches was carried out on Friday morning by MLA Dnyaneshwar Katke and MSEDCL Director (Human Resources) Rajendra Pawar. With this restructuring, Sai Satyam, Loni Kand, and Vitthalwadi Wagholi have been formed as three new branches in addition to the existing one.

Speaking on the occasion, Pawar said the move was necessary due to urbanization and industrial growth in Wagholi, which had increased the pressure on existing staff. With the new setup, MSEDCL has added 51 employees, including three assistant engineers, strengthening manpower to meet consumer demand more effectively.

MLA Katke, who had consistently demanded this restructuring, said the decision would address the needs of the rising number of electricity consumers in Wagholi and prepare for future requirements.

The event was attended by senior MSEDCL officials, staff, and local residents.
