New Delhi, August 9, 2024 – The All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2024, a prestigious event in the world of karate, concluded with a spectacular display of talent and sportsmanship. Held from August 1st to 4th at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, the championship brought together over 2000 karate practitioners from across the country, competing in various age groups.

Representing Maharashtra, 8-year-old Samarth Hegde from Pune made a remarkable mark in the competition. Trained at Ichiban Karate Academy under the mentorship of Shihan Ashok Vetal and coached by Mr. Tej Pratap, Samarth showcased his exceptional skills by clinching a Gold medal in Kata and a Silver medal in Kumite.

Samarth’s performance stood out in what is considered one of the toughest events in recent times. His achievements not only highlight his dedication but also promise a bright future in the sport. His hard work and rigorous training over the past few years have been rewarded with consistent success in various championships.
