Pimpri: Two individuals from Uttar Pradesh were arrested by Wakad police for snatching gold jewelry from women to recover losses from their bakery business. The accused, identified as Hifazat Ali Inam Ali Ansari (24) and Sameer Firoz Ansari (20), residents of Pimple Gurav, originally hail from Nagina village in Bijnor district. Police have recovered gold jewelry worth ₹3.6 lakh from them.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gaikwad, the duo targeted women and snatched gold necklaces weighing four tolas from two victims on January 29 while riding a two-wheeler. A trap was set, and both accused were apprehended. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime, leading to the recovery of stolen gold.
