On 8th February (Thursday), the Wanowrie Police arrested 4 accused in a raid conducted on an illegal hookah parlour at Salunkhe Vihar Road, Wanowrie.
As per further information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse, the Wanowrie Police raided T House Cafe on Salunkhe Vihar Road, Wanowrie on the basis of their information that Hookah is being sold illegally at T House Cafe. When a Wanowrie Police team raided T House Cafe, they found that there were several things & materials of Hookah like Hookah Pot etc inside the cafe. Also, a person at the Hookah counter & customers were there.
When the police continued the raid in the cafe, they found & seized several Hookah materials such as Hookah Pot, 3 square-shaped boxes, 2 round boxes, coal stove & much more worth Rs 43,970. Also, the 4 accused, identified as Sohail Rafiq Shaikh, Dipesh Krishna Pariyar, Vishal Santosh Pariyar & Salman Sattar Shaikh, have been detained by the police team.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Sandeep Salve, Wanowrie Police officer said “The 4 accused have been detained & further investigation is ongoing.”
The 4 accused have been booked by the Wanowrie Police under Sections 21A, 4A of The Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003.
