Pune: Water Enters Homes In Sayyad Nagar At Mohamadwadi: Residents Criticise PMC Over Inaction
In Sayyad Nagar, Mohamadwadi Lane No. 2, House No. 15, residents are facing severe inconvenience due to waterlogging in their homes. The emergency response system appears to be sleeping on duty, not even answering citizens’ calls. Despite repeated phone calls to the Wanawadi regional office, no action has been taken.
Shiv Sena has demanded the suspension of emergency officials who fail to respond to calls. If this demand is not met, party members have warned they will publicly blacken the faces of those responsible for not doing their duties. Everyone must take this matter seriously, as Shiv Sena will launch a strong public protest.
Despite crores of rupees spent on chambers and monsoon drainage lines, the roads are filled with potholes during the rainy season, chambers are broken in several places, drainage lines are blocked, and water is accumulating in many areas. Why weren’t the monsoon drainage lines laid beforehand? Why wasn’t a survey conducted in the areas where water is known to collect?
Shiv Sena has demanded that instead of serving the interests of builders, the authorities should work for the citizens.
This statement comes from Ulhas Bhau Tupe, Pune District Chief of Shiv Sena.
