Pune : Water woes for Eisha Pearl society residents in Kondhwa continues

Pune: Residents of Eisha Pearl Society, Kondhwa are in distress as the water supply in the toilets of their flats is contaminated, leading to issues like bad odour etc.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Amit Jain, a resident of Eisha Pearl Society, Kondhwa said, “The water coming through the toilet flush in my flat is so contaminated that a horrible smell comes out of it. This is not the case for only my flat as several flats are facing this same issue. This is a health hazard. Several residents are suffering illnesses due to this. This has been happening for around 2 years. There was also the issue of impure drinking water a while ago which was leading to several ailments for residents, however that has been resolved. But this toilet water supply problem is still there & very serious.”

Karan Sarun, a resident of Eisha Pearl Society Kondhwa said, “There is so much stink in the flush & toilet of our house. Black-coloured water is coming in the flush water. It is so harmful & hazardous. This has been happening for a long time. We have complained about this to the builder however, no action has been taken so far.”

Komal Jain, another resident of Eisha Pearl Society, Kondhwa said, “Flush water is completely contaminated. This issue has been there for a long time. A lot of unbearable stink comes from the flush water. The water coming from the flush seems to be filled with dust. It is completely the worst. Builder says that we will resolve the issue but no action is being taken.”

Sonal P, a resident of Eisha Pearl Society, Kondhwa said, “I have been living in the society for 1.5 years. Since then, this contaminated water supply from flush has been coming. There is a lot of smell. Builder has been notified about this issue but no action is there yet.”

Kiran Vora, another resident of Eisha Pearl Society, Kondhwa said, “So much worse smell comes from flush water when water is flushed down the toilet. It is happening for a very long time. Builder has been complaining about this but there has been no attention to this.”

Jayesh Jain, Builder, Eisha Pearl Society, said “Our sewage treatment plant (STP) is there in the society which treats water & then only water supply goes in all the flats. Some time ago, a water supply line was damaged which has been fixed. We will look into this flush water issue & resolve it soon.”
