Pune Weather : City to experience light rain and strong winds today
The weather forecasting department, Indian Meteorological Department, Pune issued a forecast stating that the Pune city and district areas will experience thundery activity lightning, light rain and even short period of moderate intense spell, short period strong wind. Areas At top of pink arrow have likely chance of hail even.
It is a big respite for Puneites from the heat, as the climate has changed and cooled down the temperature. Possibility of hail at isolated places. Take precautions while moving out.
Probable Impact Based Advisories:
● Do not take shelter under trees during thundery activity.
● Do not use mobile/unplug electronic appliances during period of lightning.
● Close windows and doors during period of strong wind.
● Avoid travelling during period of strong wind/lightning.
● Drive slow and safe as visibility may reduce and roads may be slippery.
Significant Meteorological features from AS & Bay of Bengal:
❇️ A cyclonic circulation likely to develop over southeast Arabian Sea around 05th June. Under its
influence a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over the same region during subsequent 48 hours.
❇️ The cyclonic circulation over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal off Myanmar coast persists .
