Pune, June 26, 2023: The weather forecasting department head at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Pune, Anupam Kashyapi, has issued an orange alert for the ghats in and around Pune city, indicating an imminent threat of heavy rainfall in the region over the next 48 hours.

The alert serves as a warning for visitors, as the ghats are expected to experience intense rainfall. Additionally, the city area itself is anticipated to witness an increase in rainfall activity, with moderate rain expected in the range of 15.5 to 64.4 mm over the next 24 hours, accompanied by intense spells.
