Prafull Harishchandra Kadam (35), a resident of Satyam Rajyog Society, Dhanori, was found dead by suicide at his residence on December 31. His father, Harishchandra Govind Kadam (60), lodged a complaint at Vishrantwadi Police Station, leading to a case being filed against Prafull’s wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law.  

According to the police, Prafull faced repeated harassment from his wife and in-laws, who accused him of deception. They reportedly told him, “You have cheated us. If you die, I will remarry and live happily,” causing him severe mental distress.  

Unable to bear the harassment, Prafull hanged himself at home. Before taking this step, he left a note blaming his wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law for his decision.  

A case of abetment to suicide has been registered against the accused, who reside in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Pimpri-Chinchwad.

Sub-Inspector Padmaraj Gample is investigating the case further. Police have assured that all aspects of the incident will be thoroughly examined.  

This tragic case highlights the devastating impact of emotional harassment within families. Authorities urge anyone facing such circumstances to seek help immediately.
