Pune: Woman Arrested After Police Bust Alleged Prostitution Racket At Spa In Wanowrie
Pune, July 6, 2026: Pune Police have busted an alleged immoral trafficking racket operating under the guise of a spa and massage centre in Wanowrie, arresting a 33-year-old woman accused of running the illegal operation.
The raid was conducted on the afternoon of Saturday, July 4, at Sky Spa, located in Parmar Gallery near Jagtap Chowk. During the operation, police allegedly uncovered a prostitution racket being run from the premises.
According to the police, the arrested woman allegedly lured women into prostitution by offering them money and was living off their earnings.
Police Constable Sandeep Ananda Salve lodged the complaint in the case.
A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, along with Sections 143 (human trafficking) and 3(5) (acts committed with common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Police are conducting further investigations to identify other persons who may have been involved in the alleged racket.
