Pune: Women’s Day Celebrated With Housekeeping Staff In Rohan Mithila Society
Pune, March 10, 2026: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an inspirational and recreational programme was organised for housekeeping women employees at a housing society in Pune to give them a break from their daily routine and provide a platform to showcase their talents.
The event was organised on March 8, 2026, by Bharat Vikas Parishad Pune Purva at the Rohan Mithila A to Y Housing Society. The programme began at 2 pm and aimed to offer the women an opportunity to relax, enjoy themselves and gain motivation.
The programme opened with a collective singing of the patriotic song Vande Mataram. Several fun and engaging activities were then organised, including singing competitions, musical chairs, passing the parcel and action games. The participants took part enthusiastically in the activities.
The event was coordinated and organised with the support of Jyoti Baheti, Aparna Rajkondwar, Aruna Mutha and Veena Hamine. The programme was conducted in the presence of Madhuri Potphode, Sunita Goyal, Archana Pendharkar, Nimbalkar, Kamna Gupta, Vijaya Shrimali and Shalini Talwar.
A large number of housekeeping staff participated in the event. Winners of the various competitions were honoured with attractive gifts. During the programme, participants were also provided guidance on useful life skills and practical tips aimed at empowering women and making their lives easier.
The event concluded with refreshments for all the participants. Organisers said the programme not only brought joy and enthusiasm among the women but also boosted their confidence and motivation.
