According to police officials, the incident occurred on March 23, 2026, between 3 pm and 10:30 pm, near the Bloomfield crematorium area. Shewale was found dead inside a duct on the ground floor of the construction site.

Preliminary findings revealed serious lapses in safety protocols. The worker was not wearing a helmet or any protective gear at the time of the incident. Additionally, a duct on the terrace had reportedly been left partially open without adequate safeguards.

The complaint alleges that the absence of proper safety measures and negligence on the part of those responsible led to the fatal accident.
