Pune : Youth from Rajasthan apprehended by police for sale of illegal drugs in Lohegaon

PUNE: A youth from Rajasthan has been apprehended by the police for the sale of illegal drugs in the Lohgaon area. The arrested accused, Gopichand Ramlal Bishnoi (28), a resident of Charholi in Pune and a native of Punasa Bhinmal in Jalore district of Rajasthan, was found with mephedrone and heroin with a total value of Rs 58 lakh.

An FIR has been registered against Bishnoi at the Vimantal police station. As per the information provided, the operation was carried out by a team from the anti-narcotics squad II, led by Police Inspector Sunil Thopte, Police Sub-Inspector S.D. Narke, and Digambar Chavan, under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ramnath Pokle, Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Satish Govekar.

As per the information provided, police received information from officer Yogesh Mandhare that an individual would be selling mephedrone and heroin in the Lohgaon area. Later, the police conducted a raid and apprehended Gopichand Bishnoi, seizing inventory worth Rs 58.57 lakh, including 312 grams of heroin worth Rs 47 lakh and 54 grams of mephedrone worth Rs 11 lakh.
