Pune’s love for greenery is flourishing like never before, with a new wave of nurseries and garden centres transforming how the city nurtures its plants. More than just places to pick up potted greens, these spaces are combining design, education, and convenience—offering everything from aesthetic arrangements to large-scale landscaping support.

Mulberry Garden House, nestled in Koregaon Park, is one such urban oasis. Launched in 2018 by Monica Chawla and Tritesh Choudhary, the venture was born out of their desire to escape the corporate grind and reconnect with nature. “We saw a rising interest in houseplants but also a lack of knowledge. We wanted to bridge that gap,” says Chawla. Their setup goes beyond traditional nursery fare, featuring artfully styled plant corners, terrariums, mini gardens, and lush, leafy bouquets curated with design sensibilities.

On the other side of town in Baner, Girme Farm boasts a legacy of over 25 years. A full-scale garden centre offering more than 100 plant varieties, it’s a destination for both casual gardeners and serious hobbyists. “My father started this to address the lack of quality gardening products in the market,” says Karan Girme, who now runs the business. With roots in agricultural science, the family has stayed focused on quality and variety.

Bringing plants right to your doorstep is Ugaoo, a modern plant retailer with stores in Koregaon Park, Baner, and Shivajinagar—and a pan-India delivery network. Founded by Siddhant Bhalinge, a third-generation aggrotech entrepreneur, Ugaoo stems from a 130-year-old family legacy in gardening. “Ugaoo was built to streamline the fragmented nursery market,” says Shreevar Chhotaria, Head of Content. “We blend aesthetics, education, and tech to make plant care easy and stylish.”

Just off the Pune-Mumbai Expressway lies Enchanted Gardens, a 12,000-square-metre nursery started in 1975 by Ramrao Jagtap. It offers everything from houseplants and balcony decor to custom installations for offices and farmhouses. The nursery’s wide variety and tailored planting services make it beginner-friendly while still meeting the needs of seasoned gardeners.

Meanwhile, N Plant Nursery & Landscape Services, led by Nilesh and Priyanka Rokade, brings an academic edge to gardening. With Master’s degrees in Biodiversity, the couple runs four centres across Pune—in Viman Nagar, Kolwadi, Koregaon Park, and New NIBM Road. Their inventory includes native and exotic plants, herbs, medicinal species, succulents, vertical garden setups, and all the tools, seeds, and organic soil needed for DIY and professional landscaping alike.

As Pune continues to grow, so does its green thumb. Whether you’re a novice looking for a starter kit or a pro planning a backyard transformation, the city’s gardening scene has never been more vibrant or accessible.
