Pune's Parvati Constituency: Bhimale's Confidence vs. Misal's Experience
Date:20/July/2024
Over a month has passed by since the Lok Sabha election results were announced. Now, all the political parties are gearing up for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections. They’re hitting the road, organizing rallies, and holding discussions to strategize their campaigns. In Pune’s Parvati Legislative Assembly, both current MLAs and aspiring candidates are actively engaging with voters, setting the stage for an intense electoral battle.
MLA Madhuri Misal from the BJP is eyeing her fourth consecutive term, while Shrinath Bhimale, a key ally of Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, is all fired up, declaring he’ll fight and emerge victorious on social media.
With 30 years in the political arena, three terms as a corporator in Market Yard, and a stint as the Leader of the House in Pune Municipal Corporation, he’s certainly got the experience. His track record of bringing projects to the Parvati Constituency speaks volumes. Bhimale’s confidence stems from the significant lead Parvati gave to Murlidhar Mohol in the last Lok Sabha election. Despite expressing his desire to contest in previous Legislative Assembly elections, he was asked to wait. This time, Bhimale is hopeful that the party will finally grant him the opportunity he’s been seeking, hence his bold declaration on Instagram.
Parvati BJP MLA Madhuri Misal’s response reflects her determination and confidence. She recalls her initial doubts when contesting in Parvati but highlights how her success attracted attention to the constituency, likening it to a fertile farm that everyone desires. Misal emphasizes that now that Parvati is recognized as a promising political ground, she is committed to fighting for it in the upcoming elections.
